Lift Station and Standpipe Construction Inspection

About this project

Part of the city’s required CSO system upgrades and modifications included construction of a 38 million gallon per day (MGD) stormwater lift station facility and discharge standpipe structure. The lift station included two facilities designed to include a wet well and dry well approximately 40 feet deep. A large control building for power, pump, and odor control equipment was constructed over the dry well. Four dry-pit submersible pumps were installed in the dry well. A ferric chloride feed system and carbon absorption were included to control odor. The facilities included green designs to enhance environmental protection.

Sigma provided daily site inspection and reporting for all disciplines during the construction and startup phase of the two facilities.
