Reservoir Construction and Booster Station Rehabilitation

About this project

This project involved the replacement of two 3.4 mg water reservoir tanks which had served their useful storage life. A new 3.5 mg, pre-stressed concrete circular tank was built in the same site footprint to replace both tanks. Construction was phased to allow continued operation of the water distribution and storage system at the site by demolishing the east tank while the west tank was kept in service. Once the new tank was constructed, the remaining tank was decommissioned and demolished.

Sigma provided detailed topographic and utility surveys and geological investigations and reports, followed by Basis of Design and detailed design drawings and specifications, as well as construction techniques and cost estimates. During the construction phase, Sigma provided construction management and administration that involved permitting, bidding assistance, and assistance with the permit approval process.
