Airports
Sigma’s engineers and designers are thoroughly familiar with applicable policies, regulations, and standards for transportation
and aviation infrastructure designs, construction, and operation. Sigma has provided electrical lighting systems design for the
Detroit Metro Airport McNamara Terminal, proposed North Terminals, and taxiway lighting.
Roads and Highways
Sigma has the in-house engineering capabilities to provide a complete spectrum of engineering services required for planning,
design, and construction of new local arterial streets, secondary roads, and state highway improvement projects. We are
knowledgeable in all local, county, and state DOT design standards. Our team will handle all aspects of the project including
utility relocation, rehabilitation, new storm and sanitary sewer construction, water and gas lines, electrical street lighting,
traffic signalization, and buried cable and fiber optic communication systems.
Bridges
Our staff of engineers and designers has successfully completed the design of numerous culverts and bridges for pedestrian,
recreational, parking structures, access ramps, and highway bridges for local, county, and state agencies. Our team of civil
and structural engineers and designers are familiar with all applicable design codes and standards. We can provide assistance
with construction administration, inspection, testing, and resident engineering to match your specific needs.
Rail and Transit
Our engineers and designers can assist with the civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical work for new station and access
platform construction. Sigma has significant experience with transportation design teams, and has supported project teams during
the planning, design, and construction phases of many major projects. Sigma’s engineers have successfully completed projects
where they have been responsible for roadway, parking area, utility, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical lighting, and power
distribution civil/sitework design for rail stations and platforms.
